How did the gospel writers know the words Jesus prayed in Gethsemane if they were asleep?

A. Someone else heard what he said
B. The apostles were inspired by the Holy Spirit
C. Jesus told them about that night after his resurrection, before his ascension
D. Is that in the Bible?

It’s not in the Bible! The gospel writers tell us what Jesus prayed (Matthew 26:39-40, Mark 14:35-37, Luke 22:41-46), but we don’t get any more information.
